Nick started as the Program Development Manager at Phius in October 2026. Since the late-20th century, Nick has been a framer, remodeler, high-performance building consultant, academic research manager, government contractor, and technical lead for the US EPA’s Indoor AirPlus home certification.
Nick gained years of in-field experience, pursued Mediation and Conflict Transformation, and eventually earned a Master’s in Building Science at Appalachian State University where he launched IAQ research and delivered real estate industry training.
As Program Development Manager at Phius, Nick is responsible for cross-functional coordination across research, standards, certification, education, and policy to advance existing programs, cultivate market feedback, and marketize new Phius initiatives.
Nick has served on industry committees including ASHRAE 62.2, ANSI/AARST CCAH, the Well for Residential Advisory, EEBA Technical Advisory Committee, and Pearl Advisory Council.
Nick spares few opportunities to employ a pun or infuse a song lyric in conversation. And if there’s music in the air, he’s likely humming a harmony (IF his mouth is closed).
