METr Single Family | November 2026
This ~10 hour course provides an overview of how to use the METr software to support Phius certification compliance for single family buildings. Beginning with the Phius CORE 2027 protocol, all Phius certified projects will require either a METr energy model or a Prescriptive Path checklist. This training introduces the skills, workflow, and methodology needed to model a project using METr, understand its role in Phius certification, and quickly produce accurate and useful energy performance information.
Topics include:
- Basics of installation, orientation, and navigation of METr
- Construction of opaque and transparent building assemblies within METr
- Import of climate data and generation of climate-specific targets within METr
- Construction, importing, and editing of 3D geometries within SketchUp and METr
- Input of thermal bridges, internal loads, and ventilation schedules into METr
- Input of active ventilation, space conditioning, domestic hot water, and renewable energy system parameters into METr
- Generating METr reports
Previous experience with WUFI Passive or METr is not required.
