This calculator is used to determine project-specific performance criteria for Phius 2024 Certification.

This estimator should be used to determine the energy use of water pressure booster pumps for residential buildings over four stories or where a water booster pressure pump is planned in the design to provide adequate water pressure for the upper floors.

This estimator may be used to determine a lower temperature reduction factor than the default of 0.95 and the associated additional energy use for attached zones outside of the thermal and airtight envelope that are conditioned to a lower setpoint temperature than the certified portion of the building.

Calculates a peak/design latent load, dehumidification load, for the purpose of sizing dehumidification equipment. The calculation is in accordance with the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals.

Phius allows airtightness testing at either 50Pa or 75Pa. The current software used for certification only accepts inputs at 50Pa. This resource allows projects to convert between 50Pa and 75Pa airtightness results.

The Phius Certification project contract date determines the required program version. Generally, projects can voluntary choose to comply with a newer version than required by contract date.

This calculator should be used to determine the 'Mechanical Room' temperature when a mechanical ventilation device is located outside of the thermal envelope. (eg. the roof)

This tool can be used for building compliance modeling for Phius Project Certification to estimate component-level performance data for fenestration systems that are rated by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC). Be sure to read the 'Start Here' tab and if component-level performance data is already available for your product, you won't need this tool.
