A list of helpful tips for those planning to attend PhiusCon 2023 Nov. 7-10 in Houston.
The four days of PhiusCon (Nov. 7-10) are jam-packed with a vast array of passive building action. From Pre-Conference workshops to the sold-out local projects bus tour and Core Conference breakout sessions, attendees will have their pick of educational and networking opportunities. With so much happening during the event, we want to help you maximize your experience, so we’ve compiled some tips for PhiusCon 2023 attendees.
We hope the pointers offered below make for a smoother PhiusCon experience. And if you haven’t gotten your ticket yet, be sure to register here to be part of the action.
To avoid the line at the registration table, stop by either Wednesday afternoon (until 5:30 p.m.) or early Thursday morning (starting at 7 a.m.) to grab your conference badge. This not only saves you time, but also offers the opportunity to ask one of our staff members any questions you may have ahead of Core Conference. Remember, the Opening Plenary starts at 8 a.m.!
If you are attending Pre-Conference sessions, or the passive projects bus tour, check in Tuesday morning to collect your badge (registration opens at 7 a.m.).
With all PhiusCon events located on the same level of the Marriott Marquis Hotel this year, attendees should have an easier time navigating the event. But it always helps to visualize the space ahead of time as you plan which sessions and events you’ll be attending.
The Exhibit Hall is adjacent to the main ballroom, which will host all of the keynote addresses, while the registration table and five breakout rooms are clustered nearby. Check out the map below for reference.
PhiusCon attendees can earn up to 16 Phius CEUs as well as AIA LUs. In order to receive credits, attendees will simply scan a QR code and enter their Phius ID at the conclusion of each qualifying session. This will allow you to record the Phius CEUs for that session, as well as the eligible AIA LUs if applicable.
Once the code is scanned and submitted, no further action during or following the conference is necessary in order to receive credits.
If you’ve already purchased your PhiusCon 2023 ticket, you’ve likely visited our conference website, but we would recommend you take a few minutes to peruse the agenda, speaker bios, exhibitor list, and much more.
You will also want to download the official PhiusCon 2023 app prior to the event (Download in Apple App Store Here or Android Google Play Store Here). Once you log into the app using the email you used to purchase your PhiusCon tickets, you can access the agenda, message boards and more. Physical agendas will not be provided, so be sure to download the app!
Be sure to carve out some time to meander through the PhiusCon Exhibit Hall, which opens Wednesday evening with an opening reception at 5:30 p.m. The hall features industry leading manufacturers and is the perfect place to be exposed to new ideas and network with passionate industry professionals.
In addition to the opening reception on Wednesday, the Exhibit Hall is open all day Thursday and Friday during Core Conference.
