We have an unprecedented opportunity to spread passive building knowledge, and we want you to be part of it.

Phius’ collaboration with the US Green Building Council for the Greenbuild 2024 International Conference + Expo will provide a gateway into the world of passive building for a Greenbuild audience that is chomping at the bit to learn about the latest and greatest in the world of sustainable building. And we want talented Phius Certified experts like you to welcome them by presenting at the Phius-exclusive track Nov. 12-15 in Philadelphia.

Time is short to submit your proposal – they are due Friday, Feb. 23!

By contributing to the Phius-exclusive track, you will be a catalyst for change, widening the reach of passive building and inspiring attendees to take sustainable building practices to the next level. We’re seeking presentations that are not only insightful, but also accessible to those without technical expertise in passive building design and construction.

We are welcoming proposals on the following topics:

  1. Benefits of Passive Building: Explore how passive building positively impacts tenants, developers, and designers alike.

  2. Comparison of Design and Building Process: Delve into the differences between the design and construction of a passive project versus a code-built project.

  3. Passive Building and Zero Energy Best Practices: Share your insights on achieving zero energy goals within the framework of passive building.

  4. Case Studies: Present successfully completed case studies across various climates and construction types, including single-family, multifamily (low, mid, high), commercial buildings, and retrofits.

  5. Lessons Learned: Reflect on the valuable lessons learned from your experiences in the field of passive building.

  6. Retrofit Planning and Decarbonization Strategies: Offer strategies for effective passive building retrofits and contribute to the decarbonization conversation.

As we continue working to expand our community and the impact of passive building, our collaboration with the USGBC for Greenbuild 2024 is a pivotal moment. It provides an untapped pool of potential passive building practitioners within the Greenbuild community with whom you can share your insights and expertise. In turn, we expect many attendees of the Phius track who were curious about passive building, or simply want to stay on the cutting edge, to further engage in the Phius community.

By presenting in the Phius-exclusive track at Greenbuild 2024, you not only position yourself as a passive building leader to a new audience, but also play a critical role in expanding the Phius community. Don’t miss the chance to be a passive building trailblazer at Greenbuild 2024 – submit your presentation proposal today!
