At Phius, the arrival of summer not only means warm weather, but also the unofficial start of PhiusCon season!

We can’t wait for this year’s conference, which is scheduled for Nov. 7-10 in Houston. And although we’re expanding our horizons with this year’s choice of host city, this year’s PhiusCon programming will highlight projects in all climate zones as is the case every year. You can read more about our decision to host PhiusCon in Houston in our recent blog.

As you may already know, the PhiusCon 2023 website is currently live. On it, you can:

Reminder: Phius Alliance members should purchase tickets via the Phius Portal in order to receive their member discount.

As the event grows closer, the conference website will also feature the full Pre-Conference and Core Conference agenda, as well as information on keynote and other speakers. We’d like to thank the many passionate professionals who submitted abstracts for this year’s conference. We received a record number of submissions and will be crafting an exemplary program for the event. Stay tuned!

For now, we strongly encourage those who are planning on attending from out of town to book hotel rooms as soon as possible, as spots in the conference room block are limited and are expected to sell out.

Below you will find a few other valuable PhiusCon-related news and nuggets. Make sure you’re signed up for our mailing list to receive all the latest PhiusCon updates straight to your inbox!

The Passive Projects Tour will be Wednesday

We have moved the Passive Projects Tour from its usual slot on Saturday up to Wednesday in order to better accommodate the travel needs of attendees. Seats on the tour bus always go quickly, and we especially expect that to be the case this year, so grab your ticket before they sell out!

Tour details will be shared with ticket holders closer to the event, but we are working closely with the Phius Alliance Houston Chapter to put together an engaging experience for attendees. Stay tuned!

Pre-Conference and Core Conference Overview

PhiusCon will kick off with two days of Pre-Conference programming (Nov. 7-8) that will include a variety of introductory sessions and other workshops. Programming on Wednesday, Nov. 8, will run concurrently with the Passive Projects Tour.

Core Conference will follow on Nov. 9-10 with all of the plenaries, breakout sessions and expert panels that have made PhiusCon a staple event in the high-performance building community over the years. The Mini Keynote addresses that were introduced last year will return, along with a new University Track that will be geared toward those in the field of academia.

As speakers and sessions are finalized, we will be sharing those details, so keep an eye out in the coming weeks and months.

The PhiusCon After Party Presented by the Phius Alliance Returns

The PhiusCon After Party (formerly known as the Phius Alliance Mixer) will serve as the finale for this year’s conference festivities, as it is scheduled for the evening of Friday, Nov. 10. While we cannot yet share details, we expect the venue to be a hit among attendees – you won’t want to miss it!

Tickets to the After Party are currently on sale, and have sold out the last several years, so get yours today

Note: Tickets to the After Party and Passive Projects Tour are sold separately from Pre-Conference, Core Conference and other tickets.
