As we push forward in our efforts to advance passive building as the mainstream standard, we are determined to expand the group of people pushing with us.
As part of that effort, we will be hosting the Phius Developer’s Summit virtually April 26-28.
The decision to build a passive project and pursue Phius certification is a collective one. Depending on the project, the owners, financers, contractors, consultants, developers, and more need to be on the same page.
We at Phius pride ourselves on providing the tools and resources necessary for these professionals to succeed. And with the recent influx of multifamily projects (the total square footage of projects submitted for Phius certification more than doubled from 2020 to 2021) the role of the developer has never been more critical.
In creating the programming for the event, we wanted to cover the aforementioned multifamily projects (which are a big reason why we often use the term passive building instead of passive house – that’s a blog for another day) but the summit will also include programming centered on single-family projects as well as financing projects.
Each day of the Developer’s Summit will cover one of the three topics (multifamily, single-family and financing). While not yet finalized, the list of speakers should not be missed. They have overcome obstacles and built successful projects.
Don’t let the name of the event fool you – this summit is beneficial for all passive building practitioners and municipalities, not just developers. We hope to see all of you there!
If you know a developer or passive building enthusiast who may be interested in the event, tell them to mark their calendars for April 26-28 and look out for more information in the coming weeks.
