Advocacy

We support and promote passive building strategies with the intent of removing regulatory barriers, encouraging incentives, and otherwise improving the standard of building in Minnesota through public policy.

• Direct engagement with regulatory bodies
• Coalition-building with like-minded professionals and organizations
• Outreach to media and the general public in support of ongoing policy efforts

Outreach

We support, promote, and grow the Phius community in Minnesota through meaningful web presence, educational opportunities, professional and social events focusing on:

• Marketing
• Web Content
• Event Planning

Multifamily Projects

We promote passive building design strategies in multifamily practice by:

• Creating conversations with developers and builders to promote and increase understanding of Phius standards​
• Utilizing data from current multifamily projects in other states to make the environmental and financial case for Phius
• Learning common details and experiences that pop up during the design and construction of Phius Certified multifamily projects​

Single-Family Projects

We promote passive building principles within the local single-family practice by:

• Educating builders and clients about the benefits of implementing passive house principles
• Serving the needs of Phius Alliance Minnesota members and professionals working within the single-family realm
• Collaborating with partners to provide learning opportunities for members and grow the Minnesota passive building community
