Exterior Wall Consists of a 9.25" x .75" Lamboo Stud filled with 8" of ccsf in the cavity. Outboard of the stud was a continuous layer of 1.5" Rigid EPS. The walls were skinned in a thin white reflective metal. The exterior cladding was reclaimed barn board siding.
Floor 9.25" Open Web Joist with ccsf in the cavity. For competition, the Gable Home was placed on metal/concrete footings. The permanent site was a closed in foundation system in which an additional 2" of EPS was used as a thermal break.
Roof Consists of a 9.25-13.25" x .5-.75" Lamboo Rafter System filled with 9-12" of ccsf depending on location. The roof itself was a Galvalume standing seam metal roof with S5! clips to hold the 9kw PV system on the South Side.
