We have finally emerged from the frozen slog of winter and reached the time of year we have all been waiting for – PhiusCon season!
We have officially launched the PhiusCon 2022 website, and with it, registration for Core Conference and Exhibitors are now open. This year’s conference is scheduled for Oct. 25-28 at the historic Palmer House Hotel in Chicago. At PhiusCon 2021, we focused on expanding the reach of Phius with our motto: Emissions Down, Scale Up! This time around, our slogan was created with an eye toward zero energy: Emissions Down, Power Up!
As always, the conference will include case studies and lessons learned from a range of climate zones, but we are thrilled to be hosting PhiusCon just blocks from Phius headquarters and in the heart of the Great Lakes Region this year.
There is plenty to be excited about when it comes to the event itself as well, including new additions to the programming on each day of Core Conference.
On Thursday, Oct. 27, there will be a Bridge Track made up of presentations geared toward attendees who are new to the Phius community and preparing them to dive into some of the more granular breakout sessions on Friday. The second day of Core Conference (Friday, Oct. 28) will bring a brand new slate of sessions we have dubbed “Mini Keynote Addresses.” They are five concurrent 45-minute sessions featuring one speaker each – a format new to PhiusCon that adds another layer of value for attendees and an additional platform for some of the industry’s top thought leaders.
Below is an overview of the schedule for PhiusCon 2022:

- Thursday, Oct. 27 -- Core Conference Day 1

The current list of Keynote Speakers includes Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas H. Holm, Director of the Institute of Forschungsinstitut für Wärmeschutz e. V. Munich (FIW Munich); Energy Vanguard Founder and Phius Board Treasurer Allison Bailes; Laura Nettleton, Architect, Founder and Principal of Thoughtful Balance; and Phius Co-Founder and Executive Director Katrin Klingenberg. Laura and Katrin will be part of a Closing Keynote Panel (more panelists and details to come!) that we are absolutely thrilled to share with you.
We are still in the process of finalizing the schedule and lineup of speakers. They will be posted as soon as all speakers have confirmed and the schedule is finalized (if you submitted an abstract, be on the lookout for an email from our team).
Now in its 16th year, PhiusCon (formerly North American Passive House Conference) remains at the forefront of the passive building industry, and we look forward to bringing you an event reflective of our (and your!) passion for high-performance building.
